Sourcing City Marketplace Was A Good Place To Be
David and Michael appeared at the inaugural Sourcing City Marketplace show held at Five in Farnborough on 27th & 28th September and gave it a big “thumbs up”.
Although the attendance on the second day was disappointing, the first day was hailed as a huge success. Both David and Michael had full appointment diaries and had constructive, meaningful discussions with some of the industry’s leading distributors. All their visitors will receive a framed certificate and personalised ballpen as a token of our appreciation.
The show had a new and refreshing format that we believe is better suited to quality business conversations than other, more conventional, industry events. Distributors attended by invitation only and sat down at specific appointment times for one on one conversations with the suppliers of their choice. Appointment times were set before the show and were for a maximum duration of 20 minutes. This is a similar format to the highly successful PSI Exhibition which has been held in Germany for many years and is the one we find most beneficial to suppliers and distributors alike.
As Michael Hearn explained: “The show was well structured and very well planned. Being able to sit down and spend valuable time with knowledgeable distributors was a real benefit and it also gave us the opportunity to explain what Impression Europe can do for them. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience”.
Our industry is continually evolving and this show is attempting to move with the times, embracing a new approach to trade exhibitions.
